About custom photo mugs
The print on these mugs is fired into the glaze, which is the difference between a mug that lasts and one that peels after a fortnight. They are dishwasher and microwave safe, and the image carries the whole way round, past the handle on both sides. A full wrap is the default here and costs nothing extra, because a patch on one side looks like a sample.
There are two sizes. Eleven ounces is the ordinary mug and holds a large coffee; fifteen is noticeably bigger in the hand and holds a pot's worth. Two materials as well: glazed ceramic for the fired print, and steel under enamel with a rolled rim for outdoors, which will chip eventually and look better for it.
There is also a color-change finish. The mug looks plain black until something hot goes in, and then the print appears. Choose an image with strong shapes for that one, because fine detail is lost in the reveal. Enamel is not for the microwave, for obvious reasons.
