About custom printed tote bags
Heavy plain-weave cotton canvas, with the handles stitched right through the body. The hem is where a cheap bag fails first. There are two sizes: the standard is fifteen by sixteen inches and does a shop run, and the large is eighteen by twenty with a gusset and a flat base, so it carries a week's shopping without becoming a sack. The large one has the biggest print area in the shop.
Print one side or both, at the same price. If you have two ideas there is no reason to choose between them. Cotton canvas takes a photographic print well, and there is an organic canvas that costs a little more and washes softer.
Embroidery is the other option, and on canvas it is the one that looks most expensive: initials stitched into heavy cloth, with nothing on the bag that can fade. Cotton canvas washes cold and should be dried flat.
