About custom chocolate prints
Every chocolate print here is tempered couverture, solid all the way through, with nothing inside it and no support material left on the piece. The trophy, the medal and the plaque come from models the workshop already holds, so the only thing you choose is the lettering: up to forty characters, cut into the side of the plinth. A name, a date, a team, a joke.
One product goes the other way. Send a photo and the figure is sculpted from it, which is the part of this shop that is genuinely hard. One person, facing the camera, in reasonable light. A phone photo taken indoors is usually fine, and sunglasses, hats and other people in the frame are what most often spoil it.
There are three chocolates. Dark holds the finest detail and the sharpest edges, so it is the one to pick for lettering and small features. Milk is what most people mean by chocolate. White is the most flattering under a light and the least forgiving of a fingerprint. A hand-painted finish picks the detail out in colored cocoa butter, which is also food.
